ShareBuilder was in the process of redesigning their new website and had decided that, from a strategic and user experience perspective, it would make more sense to separate their educational content from the transactional trading website. This would solve for any scalability issues in the future and would make for a more streamlined user experience. Experienced traders could dive right in and beginners would have a microsite of their own which they could explore at their own pace. Aside from the organizational challenges that came with reshuffling so much content, we were tasked with creating 5 new demos and a compilation of articles to go live at the same time as ShareBuilder.com.
solution
Introducing MyNavigator: A place to chart your own investment path, tour the new ShareBuilder.com and explore the road to trading. MyNavigator's look and feel was meant to complement ShareBuilder's design style, yet have its own identity at the same time. The use of navigational themes is prevalent throughout the microsite; from the compass in the logo to the GPS screen that displays all interactive demos. This site will be expanding incrementally through 2011 and 2012 so keep an eye out for updates.
